Nu'umani
The Nu'umani are "tall, brown pigmented skin with black long hair, this variant is highly athletic and battle hardened. Their hardened cheekbones and angular bone structures leaves them extremely dexterous." They travelled more than any other strain and hail from many climates at once, existing in near equal number to the core strain.
They are the telepathy mages, and they can speak to the wild lesser creatures. They are also the divers: the heart drops its rate the moment the face is in cold water, and Rivershore crews work the wrecks that nobody else can reach.
Body
Tall, brown pigmented skin with long black hair, highly athletic and battle hardened, with hardened cheekbones and angular bone structures that leave them extremely dexterous. The lung holds more than any strain but the Cold Kin and empties slowly, and the heart drops its rate the moment the face is in cold water, which is the whole of their extreme agility in water and the reason Rivershore divers work the wrecks that nobody else can reach. With the River Sun Children they carry the most muscle for their height in the species. They live seventy to one hundred and twenty years.
Country
Their cradle is the great river plain, one river's length through many climates, from its cold source to its hot delta, and the people of every stretch of it; a Rivershore family reckons where it is from by the river, never by the land. They travelled more than any other strain, and they stand in near equal number to the core strain.
Tongue
The Rivershore folk give a given name and the name of the river they were born beside. Since the river is the country and the land is not, two Rivershore families a month's travel apart can carry the same second name and be understood to be from the same place.
